Concept

In our design principles, we agreed that our device should be most pleasant when the desired behaviours are being exhibited. For this, we settled on a modern 'low-poly' look on an organic form that might typically be found in the home: a plant.

For our initial prototype we focused on having a flexible stem that could move (or wilt) to get the user's attention. It was inspired by collapsible wooden toys.

We created the head using bonded layers of 3mm acrylic sanded down to a multi faceted form to be lit up with led's.
